Here's hoping for a Tory lead +3 - As long as things look effectively tied, all sides will panic and hope in equal measure. Leaning one way or another and only one will.
James Chapman (Mail) @jameschappers 28s28 seconds ago Tories take biggest lead since 2010 with @ComResPolls for @DailyMailUK/@itvnews: CON 36 (+1) LAB 32 (-3) UKIP 12 (+2) LIB 9 (+1) GRN 5 (-2)
The survey by Comres puts David Cameron's party on 36% of the vote to the opposition's 31%, and suggests the opposite of a "post-Paxman bounce" for Miliband following the pair's live TV grilling last week.
Yes! - perfect result. Tories cannot claim to be pulling away clearly given other polls with large Labour leads, but Labour cannot get complacent either.
I didn't know he was in it and was Hang On - is that you? during the opening few mins, so looked it up. It's got the same feel as White Collar and I liked that McG was the director/exec prod. He did a lot of the initial Supernatural and other shows/tongue in cheek action stuff like Charlie's Angels.
He loves taking the piss out of the genre in a clever way.
OT For those who liked White Collar and Matt Bomer - I've just tripped across Chuck on Netflix, it's brilliant. I was hooked in the first 3 mins. James Bond meets Big Bang Theory.
Matt Bomer is not in it much however (presumably as he was doing White Collar at the time), people should be warned. I enjoyed it immensely for the first few seasons, but for some reason haven't watched it since it wrapped up. Maybe I should give it a rewatch. To Netflix!
As you were. What a cracking election this might be.
Oi, cream-tea boy, I've got a bone to pick with you. I've been reading your latest tome, and no-one ever writes the words: "the ghastliness of Rannoch Moor" without getting a visit from me and the lads, okay?
"The beauty of Rannoch Moor" is just about acceptable. "The irresistibility of Rannoch Moor" is better. "The magnificence of Rannoch Moor" better still. But "ghastliness"?. You're right out of order, mate.
SeanT Tory minority government with LD and DUP confidence and supply remains my prediction, Opinium today had a similar result to Comres, yougov was just being yougov, erratic and headline chasing as usual
The survey by Comres puts David Cameron's party on 36% of the vote to the opposition's 31%, and suggests the opposite of a "post-Paxman bounce" for Miliband following the pair's live TV grilling last week.
So now SeanT can swing from headless chicken mode to swaggering hubris. And then reverse ferret on megapollingmonday...
No, I know when I've pushed my luck.
I thought Cameron clearly won the debate, I also thought it would have no effect on the polls. As I said on here several times.
Was I totally right/wrong/talking risible gibberish? Who the F knows?
Eyes down for the most exciting election any of us geeks will know. And I am in Australia for two weeks of it! Gah.
I agree it is going to be a fascinating one. I missed the last one as I was in africa and could only keep up via a dodgy internet at 6 in the morning. There was not enough bandwidth for later in the day.
Keep a stiff upper lip though. There will be polls and rumours of polls...

What a corker for the Blue Team!
"The beauty of Rannoch Moor" is just about acceptable. "The irresistibility of Rannoch Moor" is better. "The magnificence of Rannoch Moor" better still. But "ghastliness"?. You're right out of order, mate.
:-)
The interview format was a mistake
Ed has all the momentum
At least the polls should be generating tradable movements in the markets
(Polls Tied So Still Ed Miliband Probably Prime Minister But Polls Allow Some Hope for Tories Too)
Need to re-calculate ELBOW in that case!!!
I told you so, I told you so.
Bosch is worth a go for cop show stuff too.
Meantime we had the Times and Telegraph today in full scare mode
Pour encourager les autres, and all that
Asda, Morrisons, etc, if Labour win on May 7th
No, that's the pound shops
