The last time I kept buying at a bigger and bigger price was errm Man United to win the title - so it doesn't always work out ;)

    Belters together.

George Robertson, Phillip Hammond and Justine Greening.
Your strategy is working, keep it up.

Just spotted that Andy. Is "potential constitutional crisis" hyperbole? I am very well oiled so hope other PBers will advise.

Some suggestion on Twitter that ICM are weighting English born voters are at 15%, when they are actually 10% of the population.
Maybe they're more likely to vote for some reason.

With the Commonwealth Games propaganda fest this summer, Salmond has a serious chance now.
Anyone got any better ideas than an endless series of ludicrous scare stories that no-one believes?

Things like currency union do need to be discussed. But you are right the focus needs to be on the positives!
We seem to talk about little else. Our failing was continuing to try to force this case after the whole thing was entirely undermined by the minister leak in the Guardian. Possibly will be the scoop of the year for Nick Watt.

The kind of statistics recently applied to Bosnia. A witches' brew is coming to the boil in Scotland.

I've got the latest from SLAB headquarters:

  • Excellent news: Gordon Brown is going to talk to us all about how our pensions will be worthless in an independent Scotland. That 'sunshine strategy' at work again.

Hopefully they get reshuffled out of the Cabinet...

Even in an independent Scotland , Labour would come to power sooner than the Tories ever will. Labour will also win in England as they did in 2005, 2001, 1997, 1974 l Oct ]....

    FFS. We will never learn.

No-one in their right mind seriously believes Scotland, which would under any measure still be among the top ten richest countries in the world, would not be a viable nation.

The trick is to show that the Union is better.

You might want to email Blair McDougall, as he didn't get that memo.

Apparently, there's also a hard hitting poll in the Sunday Post (honestly) about how voters are viewing campaign strategies.

The Better together campaign reminds me of Nick Clegg's Euro strategy tbh - vote for the UK/EU or jobs will fly off elsewhere.

But they appear unable to do that. So maybe it isn't. Scotland has a different legal system, a different outlook, a different culture. It's possibly only fear that keeps No even in the game.
At some point, the UK will have to accept that Scotland, and the Scots might just be happier forging their own path and that the bribery of 1707 has finally come home to roost.
Let it go, let them go, and let's finally forge a friendship that has been missing for 800 years.

Scotland is going to vote YES. Cameron will resign. Miliband and Labour are fucked for a generation.

Not a generation, if the SNP mess up, Scottish Labour will bounce back north of the Border, and the Labour Party south of the Border will still have rock solid support in parts of the North, Midlands and even parts of London.

If Cameron resigns over Scotland, Hague is maybe the frontrunner to take over in those circumstances. Maggie's boy finally comes good.

There aren't many rock-solid Labour seats left in the Midlands — 20 at most, at a guess.
