This Scottish play by Anas Sarwar to try and oust Sir Keir Starmer feels like a tipping point but only if Westminster cabinet members follow or others such as the Welsh First Minster, and metro mayors.

Am told Eluned Morgan, First Minister of Wales, is going to follow Anas Sarwar in calling for the PM to stand down;
Also that there will be "Scottish MP ministerial resignations" afterwards
Ministers saying it's the end game...
Proud of them
Sidebar, but: Starmer is meant to go to the Munich Security Conference at the end of the week.
Either he stays in post, and jets off just as he needs to steady the buffs at home - or the world meets in Munich with no British PM
@PippaCrerar
NEW: Sources close to Eluned Morgan, Labour first minister in Wales, insist that she is not planning to say anything on Keir Starmer's leadership today - despite reports to the contrary.
Getting rid of Starmer...
quite funny that the entire Labour party has been spending months saying "let's wait for our Welsh and Scottish colleagues to be massacred before doing anything hasty" without really thinking through if anyone outside of England could hear them
For that mercy alone, I would tolerate a Rayner premiership. For a few days
You are utterly stupid to downplay Scotland and it's people and Wales is about to join the call
The Celts taking Starmer down is them saying enough
BTW I remember when i called Mandelson a friend of Epstein and the site owners Brother told me there was no evidence of that and I must not repeat it!! Oh well
If she had the next thread would have the headline ‘The Celts are revolting’.
Thanks.
Here is Jerusalem bound in chains, in the Dens of Babylon
It's a terrible innovation that they have to resign, as it's yet another indication of the erosion of Cabinet government, and that, as Cabinet ministers, they're all stooges of the PM.
It gives Britain Presidential politics grafted onto a Parliamentary system. It's an awful mess.
Maybe she’s waiting to see what Starmer does after the backstabbing Judas north of the border gives his news conference .
Wales or London would be very serious
“They couldn’t manage a small car park in Polperro without accidentally flooding it with sewage from Newquay”
A gift for bruising political invective turns out to be a heritable trait
Unless he goes full Machiavelli, gets parly dissolved and immediately quits as Labour leader the day after dissolution

Keir Starmer won a massive mandate 18 months ago, for five years to deliver on Labour’s manifesto that we all stood on.
We should let nothing distract us from our mission to change Britain and we support the Prime Minister in doing that.
First day on the new job?
@ConnorGillies
💥Very senior Scottish Labour source tells me this move by Sarwar is “idiocy, immature, incoherent and self defeating. Bad for the country, playing into our opponents hands, and without any idea of an end game.”
Moment of real peril for Labour north and south of border.
@SkyNews
Imagine being slain by Sarwar.
An ignominious finale.
Labour source gets in touch:
‘Multiple resignations are about to happen. Sarwar is the springboard’
The Scottish Labour leader is about to call for Starmer to go, fuelling speculation
All eyes on Starmer’s ministers

Critics of Sarwar are basically saying “no, just climb out of the trench and walk towards the German machine guns. Don’t run”
That's rather a lot of nothing, Mr Lammy.
Juicy
I reckon it just takes 3 resignations to topple him. Don’t have to be senior figures. But 3 recognisable ministers
I have plucked that figure out of my Cornish butt, and I have nothing to back it up apart from “feelz”
Anas Sarwar says he is not supporting or backing any candidate to replace Starmer.
Just saw Ian Murray dancing Gangnam Style down Princes Street.
NEW: Health Secretary Wes Streeting, doorstepped by reporters in Westminster, and asked if he has full confidence in Sir Keir Starmer refuses to reply.
BREAKING:
Sir Keir Starmer says he is going nowhere
“Keir Starmer is one of only four Labour leaders ever to have won a general election.
“He has a clear five-year mandate from the British people to deliver change, and that is what he will do.”
An Anas on pizza.
Rebuilding Britain takes time. But thanks to the decisions we've made NHS waiting lists are falling. Inflation is falling. Interest rates are falling. The conditions for the economy to grow are there.
With Keir as our Prime Minister we are turning the country around.
Either way Starmer will be gone by the end of the summer, if not the end of the day
Can you tell?
In reality it’s allowed him to pin the forthcoming May issues on SKS rather than his leadership
Morgan now not expected to make a statement today, @ProducerOllie & @breeallegretti report, but three sources told The Times she held the same view as Sarwar.
“They’re on the same page when it comes to Keir’s future,” one said.
Interesting: As Sarwar calls to Starmer to go, Lammy, Hermer, Reed, Reeves - and Liz Kendall to me earlier as an exclusive, which I run on
@skynews
soon - have all weighed in to support PM
