    (a) The captain of the plane was a vocal supporter of the main opposition party.

    (b) A few hours before the flight, the opposition leader was sentenced to a jail sentence on trumped-up sodomy charges.

Seems like a very big coincidence.

So they sneaked him on board the plane in a laundry hamper, and stole the gold to fund his exile?

This does all sound like something out of an action movie, hijacking a plane full of passengers and landing at a secret location leaving the world clueless as to what has actually happened.
I am waiting for The Heil to blame either immigrants/single mothers/the unions/Ed Miliband/the EU for the plane going missing.
I have not heard anything about posible decompression. It is a slow process. People faint and then die of lack of oxygen. The plane will keep on flying until the fuel runs out.

Isn't that how Payne Stewart die d ?
It was one of the first theories. The passengers and crew have a different oxygen compartment, so at the height it was at when it went wrong it would have taken 5-10 seconds for the passengers to die(hence no sos from the passengers), it would have taken the pilots 15-20 seconds, among all the pandemonium would have gave the pilots the time to try and turn the plane, which could have been why the sudden change of direction.....so the theory goes.

The pilots are provided with pressurized oxygen masks allowing them to continue communicating and giving them access to an independent supply of oxygen.

It doesn't necessarily follow that the pilots would be knocked out in a decompressed cabin at FL450.

The British public should consider such enhanced protection in the event of the Eds taking over the controls of the UK economy.

Avery, not my theory, I think it was one of those posted the other night. Wonder if the plane has entered an alternate universe where postings in yellow boxes are not just crap held together by statistics and there has been a polling crossover?

Nah, you are over-complicating things with your ifs, 'pouter.

If a plane remains on its flight path it arrives at its destination.

If it abandons Plan A, it crashes.

No need for interim altitude readings or infinite lists of what if scenarios.

Not an expert on this sort of thing but it could also be a sign they think they could win with a bit of rebranding but that would require ditching Cameron.

You are forgetting one key element in this scenario, the circular firing squad in the shape of Ed Miliband and Ed Balls is so totally off target and off message, they are going to miss. Take Ed Miliband's most recent message on his position on Europe, when he manages to confuse and p*ss off his own back bencher's even more than he did the Opposition or the media, he has a problem.

Lets make it far more simple. The Labour party under Ed Miliband and Ed Balls haven't a fecking clue how to counter or overcome this economic recovery that has now occurred under the current Coalition Government, so they are now clutching at a long list of possible straws in the hope one of them sticks. Just a glance at the list you compiled suggests the utter desperation and panic that is now gathering pace in the Labour party.

The Gove anti-Etonian thing is odd. Con planning to ditch Cameron before election?

What, with crossover imminent and Cameron nailed on to win the election?
They'd be well past crossover if they had half of that Ukip number on top.
That is actually number three in the PB Hodges straw clutching list:

If the economy continues to grow
    If wages outstrip inflation
If Ukip returns to the Tories
    If Lib Dems return home
If Ukip only take off the Tories in safe Tory areas
If Labour voters don't vote tactically in Lib Dem seats
If Toby gets his way and Ukip and Tory voters vote tactically
    If Ukip goes to 5%
If the Lib Dems head back towards 20%
    If Ed remains crap
    If house prices soar
    If Scotland votes for independence
    If Labours campaign is crap
If Lynton gets his finger out
    If unemployment keeps falling
If Cameron goes *ahem* cast iron on the in/out referendum
If the Tory MP's of the right stop their suicide mission
If the unions pull the plug on Labours money so they cannot fund a campaign
If there is a breakout of war
If the falling Tory membership still manages to campaign hard
If only they had got the boundary changes through
    If there is swingback
If Ashcrofts marginal polling is wrong
If the Tory vote was spread out more like Labours and not building up in seats that are safe
If Ed is found eating kittens or some other scandal
If the Lib Dems get rid of Nick Clegg and replace him with someone more left wing
If Ukip don't stand against Euro-sceptic Tory MP's
If the focus goes back onto the two Ed's
