Looks like Trump literally dodged a bullet to the head.
Thing I cannot work out, how was nobody behind him was hit?
Seems to me to have been across the stage. He was looking to his right in the footage and there can only be a very limited number of angles to get just an ear.
Inauguration Day. President Trump leaves the podium to issue Executive Orders to arrest anyone who looks like they voted against him. Or who owns a dog they haven't shot.
They’ve tried to bankrupt him. Ok fine. They’ve tried to bend the law to put him in jail. Ok but hmmm really weird. Now they’ve tried to kill him but failed
Some American novels worth reading -- if you care about politics and morality, and want to learn something about how those work in parts of the US:
"The Last Hurrah" I found that having read that, and Mike Royko's biography of the first Mayor Daley, "Boss", I could predict about 90 percent of what Nancy Pelosi would do.
"The Gang That Couldn't Shoot Straight" Although mostly about some inept mobsters in New York City, there are insights on New York's politics during Mayor Lindsay's time in office.
The Tony Hillerman Navajo detective stories: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tony_Hillerman What I find most interesting about them is their depiction of Navajo society -- and the ethical dilemmas the two detectives often face.
For example, when the younger detective, Jim Chee, is assigned to find a hit-and-run driver who accidentally kills someone, he locates the place where the man lives, and finds that the he is he sole caretaker of a retarded grandson. The man is terribly sorry for what happened, and has been sending cash to the family of the victim, anonymously.
Chee decides to protect the grandfather, and his grandson, by switching a bumper sticker for one that is less revealing.
It's an interesting ethical problem -- and there are others in the series.
(I should warn Dr. Foxy that he may not like Hillerman novel I am re-reading, "Skinswalkers".)

This is just going to get him elected isn't it?
Four more years of POTUS Trump... Get ready!
NEw THREAD
Or with the number of assassination attempts through history, perhaps it always has been.
So, fuck it, vote Trump. The other lot are WORSE

America is a deeply polarised country
