1st, 2nd & 3rd generation immigrants SHOULD NOT hold top tier government positions! Our great nation, our culture and our great people are not naturally at the forefront of their hearts & minds! It’s just not in their nature or DNA! Patriotism can not be taught or bought and needs to run through the veins of those at the very top to ensure our country and our peoples needs and demands are not only understood but prioritised.
Khan is a prime example of this and as witnessed over time his true alliances have come out and his innate nature and culture naturally surfaces and takes precedent! (Which we all know is very un-british).
Our Capital City of our Christian country needs to be run by a native Brit with generational Christian values, principles and morals coursing through their veins from which our very society was built, thrived and was forged upon. 🫡🇬🇧

Hmm, that's not really what the article says. Marr is pointing out the lack of storytellers and explainers. It's not true - there are tons on youtube - but what we are missing is a mythos. One of the guys I follow on YouTube is called Damien Walter, who is convinced that we do not have a 21st century mythos and the gap is filled by complaining or older mythos such as fascism

People don't believe facts, they believe stories. Narratives. But the 20th century narratives died: nobody believes in a Star Trek future any more. What is the future we are building towards? Labour had its corporatism, Thatcher had her freedom in capitalism. Both failed. Without an optimistic narrative people resort to negative or nihilistic ones, such as antiwoke or Ant's theocracy. Starmer doesn't get this and isn't providing one.

Most political movements rely on myths to motivate their supporters. Just picking on one political movement and saying "look how silly they are to invoke myths" doesn't really make any sense, because you could just as easily say the same thing about the others. Also, we keep hearing how populists are making promises they can't keep, etc, but — again — the same thing could be said about most of the other political parties as they've attempted to win votes and elections over the years.

The humane method you speak of would probably be a morphine overdose. Methods such as nitrogen or helium inhalation can go wrong. The usual methods - drowning, paracetamol overdose, bleach drinking, hanging, firearms, train - can be hideously painful and distressing for the suicide and those who clean up after or during. There are few cries so plaintive as those from a deliberate overdose who no longer wants to die but will inevitably do so due to organ damage and collapse. Life is sometimes very bad.

Yes, its absolutely awful for all those affected, not just the individual. Including often loved ones who have to find the body and potentially need to clean up the mess.

Morphine, in a controlled, professional, safeguarded manner is far more humane way to say goodbye.

Paracetamol overdose is particularly nasty. A couple of days later, once they have had time to regret it their liver packs up, and liver failure is a pretty unpleasant way to die.

Suicides are often impulsive, which is why restricting access to fatal drugs, firearms etc works fairly well at prevention.
