That's a poor characterisation. Funding was cut by ~20% 2010-2016 by Osborne and Cameron, but has been increased back in years since then. I don’t want it to be the case, but I suspect it would be greeted in a lot of quarters by simply looking the other way now. The US will find it hard to assemble allies, and Europe will be too focussed on the Russian threat. -
