Re: politicalbetting.com » Blog Archive » Meanwhile from the White House as the staff turnover continues
There is no subject that divides Jeremy Corbyn and Labour MPs more than foreign policy. Though the party is able to broadly unite around issues such as austerity, the NHS and housing, its divisions are exposed whenever geopolitics dominates. The fallout to Corbyn’s response to Theresa May’s statement on Russia has provided… -

Re: A disastrous result for the Tories in the Chester by-election – politicalbetting.com
Yes, there's been a fundamental shift in how they are perceived as a result of all their errors. Rishi could be the greatest PM since the Earl of Sliced Bread, or however the expression goes, but the public wouldn't be receptive to him. The time to focus on the success of the Coalition was throughout the past five years. As the Responsible Left, in stark contrast to the two Eds. The in-but-out-but-in-but.... stance on the Coalition has been a fundamentally stupid piece of positioning, tied to the old way of thinking that the LibDems could ride two horses… -

You are absolutely 100% right. The trouble is Ozzy also wants to get re-elected. As Juncker said: 'We know what to do. We just don't know how to get re-elected afterwards'. If Ozzy had a risk-free hand to do as he pleased no doubt the policy mix would have been alot more Thatcherite - and the UK would have benefited… -
