The difference of course being the UK Government of the day had no control over the Luftwaffe. We however had, quite a considerable say and a veto on EU trade arrangements whilst we were inside the EU. Having decided to leave, we could have done so on a the back of a trade arrangement that was less unfavorable to UK… -

I am very much with Alistair here. If the parties are level pegging at 39% , Labour is likely to reverse its 2019 losses in Wales - and could go beyond that to win Preseli Pembrokeshire and Arfon. Anglesey is possibly the most challenging for Labour due to its long history of re-electing incumbents. -

The biggest risk is importing some new vaccine-resistant mutation, sending us back to square one. As far as I can see, the U.K. plan needs to be to get to the ‘Australia’ position by the summer - cases back to almost nothing thanks to vaccines and current restrictions, and everything re-opened except the borders. I thought you had cameras in bathrooms to check hand washing compliance!!! Not sure I believe the numbers of people without masks, teenagers roaming around in groups, things relatives have told me on the phone.
