House prices in money terms (as opposed to real terms) can afford to fall 4-5% per year without any serious danger of negative equity on a repayment mortgage. That should be the target. (View Post)1 -

The most obvious stat to illustrate the problem, is the number or %age of empty housing units. IIRC it’s around 1% at the moment, if it were instead 10% we might be on the way to solving housing. Not… (View Post)1 -

Yes the problem is, as usual, government trying to interfere with the market. Let landowners put up turbines on their own land, if it helps with their own energy use, and let energy providers set buy… (View Post)2
