You do if you want to show growth as a straight line rather than an exponential curve. It's easier to see what is happening at the start, otherwise it gets drowned out by the enormous peak. (View Post)1 -

How is it misleading? Log plots are useful for this kind of data. The point it conveys is that the current curves are tracking the last wave quite closely, except for deaths of course. (View Post)1 -
