    He's a very clever chap who plays the media like the Devil's Fiddle. He doesn't want the drudge of POTUS and all the limitations it entails.

    Part of the problem is the strong belief amongst some people in England that England equals the United Kingdom.

    As such they equate entirely English concepts such as an Established church as being British concepts. They are not.

    The United Kingdom has no established church and the institutions of society should change to reflect that. A ban on Indoctrination camps faith schools would be a good start. The SNP could do this in Scotland and their cowardice on the issue is very poor.

    This is the old problem for the Republicans – the party base is much more likely to warm to a hard-line appeal when what’s needed to win the White House itself requires very different positioning.

    The amusing thing is that Trump has barely spent a dime relatively speaking on his campaign.

    One thing for sure, the man is on a massive ego trip. Anyone who doesn't think he wants to be president is kidding themselves. POTUS is still the most powerful position in the world.

    I can't put a convincing argument together to justify odds lower than 33/1 for POTUS & 10/1 for the NOM.

    Still, I guess I missed a trick not foreseeing & then riding the trump surge. Perhaps his odds have further to fall?

    I won't be betting on a phenomenon I don't understand.

    I suspect that almost any attack on Khan by Zac will be labelled as "coded racist".

    It's this sort of nastiness - straight out of the Lutfur Rahman playbook - that makes him totally unsuitable to be Mayor of London, and a sign of things to come if he wins.

    Completely of topic, but does anybody have any thoughts/opinion/predictions about how the elections for the Police and Crime commissioners, will go? They will be happening next may alongside many other elections.

    A few observations from the last elections in Nov 2012:

    Very low tern out, possibly because they where new and people did not fully understand, but I think also because there where no other elections on the same day, and being November it was cold and that may have deterred some people from voting.

    The smaller party's, UKIP, LibDem and Green, did not contest all of the seats, 24,24 and 1 respectfully.

    Independents did remarkably well, (compated to other elections) getting to the best 2 'run off' in 16 and winning 11.

    Possible predictions for next time.

    Higher tern out, especially as there will be locals elections in some of the places on the same day.

    Miner party's more likely to put up more candida's, especially UKIP, in an attempt to show the parties Vitality.

    This May Ironically take some votes for the independents, so more votes could come down to 'Con V Lab' in the 'Run Off'

    This will allow each of the 2 big party's to gain some seats, and therefore clamed a victory of sorts. But the Power of incumbency will still have some effect and some of the currant independents will remain.

    Because there will be more 'Con V Lab' Some of the Corbynistars will be shocked to discover that not everybody who voted other that Con in the first round automatically votes for Lab as second preference. But rather than sit down to think and analyse why that is, they will just declare everybody to be 'Tory Scum'

    She's great. Is there a politician in the UK better at using twitter? I can't think of one. It needs brevity and wit. Very, very few politicians can manage either.
