    Not exact timings, Dave goes first at just after 9, then Ed starts at 9:50ish.

    @Roger- on why the LD's are so compliant

    Roger- for the same reasons why they didn't object to Clegg not attending the debate and for that matter for slavishly following the Tories in government- this was not a coalition, it was a Tory Govt with the LD's licking their boots, and happy to eat crumbs. Student fees, ha, ha. The LD's have behaved as the fag to the Eton prefects, and they have taken it. And in doing so they have shown themselves to be so politically inept that they are likely to lose more than 60% of their vote at the GE. No one could make up how pathetic and politically inept the LD's are.

    That said I am probably going to have vote for them..

    A few months ago I was pretty relaxed about who won or lost. I wasn't over keen on any of them. Now I see a Cameron victory as a catastrophe.

    I think it all started with Chris Bryant, not only is he an arse but he's easily the equivalent of three arses in one ; sometimes four. The Kardashians latched on to the concept it and the rest is history

    The two party leaders also decided in what order to do the interview/Q&A sections. David Cameron chose to have his Paxman encounter first, while Miliband decided to confront the audience before being formally interviewed.

    The Tory right are uncompromising nutters. I bet Cameron wishes he didn't have them.

    But surely you can see that the LD's have committed political suicide by cosying to the Tories. They (LD's) made a breakthrough in 2010, and are looking down a cliff now.

    I doubt very much that anyone is voting in 2015 for the LD's out of a positive choice. They are voting LD tactically to keep the Tories or Labour out of their seat. This is what the LD's have reduced themselves too- at barely a third of the vote they got last time. And if that is not politically inept, I would hate to see what political ineptness actually is.

    Good point. I could be on Jacobs Creek in a few weeks, if Cameron cocks this up, which he probably will.
    I think I would prefer Co-Op own brand cider option than drink that pi$$ poor excuse for wine.

    Try "not big enough" the next time she asks. Mrs B wasn't sure how to react.

    At the risk of overestimating the yellow peril, it's still premature to say that. Everything is to play for in the campaign.

    thrilling as watching Ed Miliband for 90 minutes sounds I'll probably watch the Kardashians for a more insightful take on UK politics. Kim is faced with a dliemna - does she show more arse or more cleavage? I suspect modesty will prevail and she'll decide to show more of both.

    The whole Kardashian thing has escaped me. Are we supposed to be finding arses the size of three attractive now? If so why?
    Became fashionable in the past 5-10 years apparently. Can't say why it is supposed to be one of those universally attractive traits now, but there you go.

    Good answer - I once made the mistake of mentioning of a VPL, - it was costly...
    I've also discovered the answer to "how do I look ?" is not "like Angela Merkel"

    Roger- for the same reasons why they didn't object to Clegg not attending the debate and for that matter for slavishly following the Tories in government- this was not a coalition, it was a Tory Govt with the LD's licking their boots, and happy to eat crumbs.     I doubt very much that anyone is voting in 2015 for the LD's out of a positive choice. They are voting LD tactically to keep the Tories or Labour out of their seat. This is what the LD's have reduced themselves too- at barely a third of the vote they got last time. And if that is not politically inept, I would hate to see what political ineptness actually is.
    They committed political suicide, no question. They assumed they'd get some credit for a job hopefully well done, but they haven't. Politically it has not worked out at all. But it was a proper coalition, it wasn't just them slavishly following the Tories (though opinions will differ on whether they fought too much or not enough - most would say not enough), as silly as the hard Tory right are, the LDs have not been as totally ineffective as you make out either. A combination of not being up to the task, some poor judgement and some bad luck have done for them, but as a coalition it could have been worse. We've had majority governments which were worse, so I look forward to seeing how the LDs react to their crushing in a month - tacking away from the centre left to the full left won't work on me, but it'll be interesting to seeing what happens after Labour start doing so many Toryish things.

    Despite logic of coalition being their USP they crossed a rubicon and thought they could get away with not burning their boats. The could and should be still in power after the election with a decent number of MPs and with cabinet ministers if they had actually embraced the govt instead of arguing against it all the time. (They had the DPM and 4 cabinet ministers with the DPM in several key committees. A good deal)
    As such they could have thumbed their noses at Labour. They have a lot in common with that select group of dozy tory backbenchers.
