She looks like a pensioner, they bloody LOVE Burnham due to the free transport pass. I'm surprised my mum didn't try and get a ticket for this to do the same.

So basically Burnham is saying a vote for him in the by election is a vote to get rid of Starmer as PM which may help his vote

Regarding Burnham’s announcement. It’s the least shocking news today behind Iraola’s unveiling at Liverpool and Bazball continuing to falter.

A Reform win would also be a vote to get rid of Starmer.
  • Sweeney74Sweeney74 Posts: 635

Sorry but I still find the whole thing exceptionally self indulgent, and much as I am no fan of SKS, Burnham is going to run into the exact same problems within 6 months because the people who are going to put him there are the same people who are holding back meaningful reform.

    Bingo

Not really, it would just be 1 more Reform MP and still leave a big Labour majority and while Burnham beats Starmer in Labour members polls, Starmer beats Streeting with Labour members. So I expect Sir Keir will be silently cheering on Rob Kenyon and the Reform campaign on by election night

He did speak decently on the Henry Nowak murder, the sort of thing we should have heard from Starmer, but he is not capable of.

Kemi will do anything for Focaccia it seems

'Kemi Badenoch was spotted out for lunch with a GB News exec this week.

If she was attempting to court him for some better press, her table manners might need brushing up.

Having finished her own bread roll, Kemi proceeded to lean over the table to scran said editorial director’s own bit of focaccia, nicking it right off of his plate.

Which is a heavy-handed metaphor for being hungry for power, even by our standards.'

Ironic that Michael Vaughan suggests that Bazball would have fared better on that pitch in those conditions. We actually saw a more measured approach to an extent today. It might have been better swinging, as Glenn Philips found.

Politico is reporting that the Pentagon will cancel the sale of Tomahawk cruise missiles to Germany, because they fear Russia will view it as an escalation.

It's now US policy that Germany isn't allowed to have weapons to defend itself because it would upset the Russians.

It is impossible to overstate the danger Europe is in right now and the urgency with which Britain needs to get serious about its defence

The decline of America is happening. And very fast. It is beyond the thinking of Trump's useful idiots that selling weapons made in US to allies is erm good business and has been for decades.

The Ukrainian missiles are not yet as accurate, nor have the range, or the warhead size, as Tomahawks, and they won't be next year either. But they're working in that direction, and they will get there, and they know the importance of developing the technology themselves.

We roll the supplement around each others member, Adrian Chiles article facing in while reading previous episodes of "how we do it...
