    Boris needs to be PM for another 39 days to beat Percval, and 136 days to beat Brown. Surely the latter is a bare minimum.

    On Bond, Rege-Jean Page was one suave gentleman, but people seem to like grizzled Bonds.

    I think the recent Bond films have been particularly good earners, since Skyfall made almost twice what QoS did, which seem slike they'd want to make them come out more regularly, but even without Covid they have been quite slow.

    You might think that, but the franchise moved on, and got lots of new fans and my, how the money rolled in.

    A successful re-invention of Bond is worth billions. Of course it will be tried.

    I enjoyed it, but I agree it was a bit lightweight and unreal, and I do prefer drama a bit more heavier. I can’t wait for Conversations With Friends

    Am thinking right now, of a dear friend now gone, a political hack of far higher status & achievement than yours truly.

    Boston Irish wiseguy who was a serious football fan, ditto for New England Patriots and Tom Brady.

    At least in last case, when Brady was playing and winning (to put it most mildly) for the Pats.

    Note entirely sure I know what he'd think about TB right now, though think he'd still be a fan - so long as he was NOT playing against NEP.

    It won't be Idris Elba now for James Bond. He is coming up 50 and they will want to ensure that the new James Bond can do another 4-5 movies over the course of 10+ years. Daniel Craig was really pushing it at 53 in the last movie.

    In today's 2nd NFL playoff game, Buffalo Bills are facing Kansas City Chiefs.

    My expectation is that Patrick Mahomes will lead the Chiefs to victory. He's truly amazing, great already and seemingly destined for even greater greatness.

    In my heart, however, gotta root for Buffalo Bills.

    Perennial losers since about time Jack Kemp retired from pro football to take up pro politics. Fans are great - they at least deserve to win, at least once.

    Plus for first time in long time, heard "Marty & McGee Show" on ESPN radio this AM, and they featured fellow broadcaster, champion baker and stalwart Bills fan Christine Lisi.

    I'd like the next Bond to be Richard Madden, mainly because I think it would be great to have another Scottish Bond. You'd be daft to bet against a black or Asian actor getting it though if there's a suitable candidate - Idris Elba seems a little too old.

    I'm in a small minority of thinking the last effort was God awful. An early warning sign being these rank pair of brown moccasins that DC was cutting around Italy in. It really is fall of Rome stuff when Bond can't dress.

    A quick glance at the betting history shows we could have laid Richard Madden at below 3/1 if Quincel had published earlier. This really is a layers' dream if you check the odds histories of various actors.

    Moore’s last film was when he was 58 - they had the older Patrick MacNee as his side kick to help make him appear younger.
