Why Mr Bond…we’re not expecting you… – politicalbetting.com

Good evening, Mr Bond. I know you like a flutter, and that’s why I designed my latest scheme just for you.

James Bond
Jack Bauer
Jason Bourne
Then Brosnan came along.
That's what they said. Again.
Then Daniel Craig came along.
Now they say....
EDIT: The last film was a pile of junk, though.
Mark Butcher has just said of Moeen Ali & Adil Rashid
'England's spin twins are double teaming the West Indies'
On Bond, Rege-Jean Page was one suave gentleman, but people seem to like grizzled Bonds.
I think the recent Bond films have been particularly good earners, since Skyfall made almost twice what QoS did, which seem slike they'd want to make them come out more regularly, but even without Covid they have been quite slow.
A successful re-invention of Bond is worth billions. Of course it will be tried.
Bauer, Jack
Bourne, Jason
See. Fixed
That appears to be the primary criteria for a Hollywood blockbuster now, though.
- Dr No 1963
- From Russia With Love 1964
- Goldfiner 1964
- Thunderball 1965
- Casino Royale 1967 (which I don't remember but must have been shit, as it had the largest budget but made 100m less than the previous movie)
- You Only Live Twice 1967

Boris's initial's "BJ" are a colloquialism for "Bl*w job" which would not surprise me.
Not so much undercover as underpants......
Asking for an unacceptably elderly friend
The scene where he as an 18th century Duke explains female masturbation to a young unmarried girl during a garden party was utterly hilarious. Unintentionally so I imagine.
Think Austin Powers, only really badly done.
I thought he left Bridgerton because he didn't like the stardom?
Grandad Idris is too old for a sequence. Rege-Jean Page Will be fantastic bond.
Trust me on this, anyone over 30 can’t choose the next bond, you have to leave it to us under 30.
Los Angeles Rams 27
Tampa Bay Buccaneers 27
this after the Buccs way behind most of the game - NEVER count out Tom Brady!
EDIT - though Rams HAVE just won this playoff game:
FINAL
Los Angeles Rams 30
Tampa Bay Buccaneers 27
My point (verbal) still stands.
Really? I’ve always seen Bonds as metrosexual mostly with just a dash of sporno
With a lisp?
Three walk-off field goals - all by the road team...
Oh Z! 😲
But ydoethur thinks I'd make a good PM.
So there is that.
Boston Irish wiseguy who was a serious football fan, ditto for New England Patriots and Tom Brady.
At least in last case, when Brady was playing and winning (to put it most mildly) for the Pats.
Note entirely sure I know what he'd think about TB right now, though think he'd still be a fan - so long as he was NOT playing against NEP.
Would love to call him up and ask. Perhaps might trying holding improptu seance with a bottle of Irish . . .

It was though very funny indeed - if utterly implausible, ludicrous and very badly acted.
The reputation of yet another institution trashed by Johnson.
My expectation is that Patrick Mahomes will lead the Chiefs to victory. He's truly amazing, great already and seemingly destined for even greater greatness.
In my heart, however, gotta root for Buffalo Bills.
Perennial losers since about time Jack Kemp retired from pro football to take up pro politics. Fans are great - they at least deserve to win, at least once.
Plus for first time in long time, heard "Marty & McGee Show" on ESPN radio this AM, and they featured fellow broadcaster, champion baker and stalwart Bills fan Christine Lisi.
She swung my vote!

"The arrival of Mr Terminus at the garden party was event the Season did not forget."
3rd guess nailed it.
Am only slightly grizzled, and NZ hasn’t furnished a Bond yet.

I'm in a small minority of thinking the last effort was God awful. An early warning sign being these rank pair of brown moccasins that DC was cutting around Italy in. It really is fall of Rome stuff when Bond can't dress.

Can everyone stop doing bits in bad Russian and bad French. It's doing my head in. Do what you like in other languages.

The State Department ordered diplomats' families Sunday afternoon to depart the U.S. embassy in Kyiv, Ukraine, amid heightened fears of a Russian attack on the country.
The embassy has also authorized non-emergency employees to depart, according to an internal cable obtained by ABC News.
