Yesterday in what was billed as his “big Brexit speech” LAB leader Corbyn called for a general election should TMay lose fail to win backing for her Brexit deal in the vote next week. But he’s been far more reluctant to allow Labour to give any backing to the increasing clamours for a specific referendum on the deal.

    You're suggesting that Jezza should argue for a cause he doesn't believe in because his voters support it? Isn't that what Remain MPs in Leave constituencies should do?

    It'll never catch on. Just because the electorate voted Leave, Parliament didn't really start supporting Brexit, they only pretended to do so for a while. They regard their job as being to convince the voters to accept their views, not to consult with them.
