    This intervention changes nothing. There's every reason to believe that the EU was serious when it said that the deal it offered May was final.

    Any attempt at renegotiation, even if the EU agrees to one in the first place, will produce about as much meaningful change as when David Cameron attempted to renegotiate our EU membership. A few punctuation marks and the occasional letter would get moved about in the text, but no matter of substance would change.
