This was brought in under Obama in 2010 and has provided health provision for millions of Americans.

The trouble for the Democrats (in purely political terms) is that they (and a few moderate republicans) have managed to save Trump from himself.

There was a very interesting series of interviews by Sarah Kliffe on this very topic in Kentucky.
Basically Trump voters did not believe him when he said he would repeal the law.
