One of the features of living in a super LAB-CON marginal less than an hour from London that regularly changes hands is that you get a lot of attention at general elections. Corbyn’s first big outside visit after the election was called in April was to Bedford which was a regular port of call by David Cameron and earlier LAB leaders at GE10 and GE15.

    The issue is what happens in the next election. Will those 'shy' tories come 'home' to the blues.


    I don't think the next election is nailed on labour win, no one thought they would be in government this time, but next time is a different matter and that will focus minds.

    Of course the Tories need to up their game, and a Labour government is, at the moment probable, but in 5 years time or so (depending on how Brexit goes).... ?
