Sort of on topic, I'm not sure the Clinton camp - and Clinton herself - is showing much class in so aggressively attacking the FBI. Surely a more measured, respectful tone would be more effective, similar to Obama and the White House?
At the moment, her camp is sounding a bit Trumpy about it. The risk for her is that if she stays there the voters might decide they may as well opt for the real thing instead.
Seems odd that Lib Dems are not taking advantage of Corbyn's gross failures. Farron the flat liner.
The Lib Dems are doing very well in Derbyshire at the moment, stand by for another Town council gain in Staveley
It is odd that the polls haven't reflected the election results that the LibDems are getting. Is it usual for them to lag?
The Lib Dems' results might be down to:
1. An ability to outfight opponents in by-elections, or 2. An ability to generate greater popularity when the public are engaged with politics.
The two are of course related but if it's the former then the by-elections are flattering to deceive as the LDs can't operate like that across a country, or across a region with multiple targets. It would be meaningful though for isolated target seats. If it's the latter, then that's even better news for them as it means that the election campaign of itself will improve their standing, even before local battles.
FWIW, I think it's a mixture but more of (1) than (2). I remain sceptical of Farron's ability to attract votes in the way that Ashdown, Kennedy and Clegg (in 2010) did; he's simply not that likeable.
I think there's also the fact that people - in local elections at least - are willing to give the LDs a chance. Next May's local elections will be fascinating.
'The strategy is to focus on local elections (Build the councillor footsoldier/activist base), I don't think people are really paying attention nationally to be perfectly frank.
This is true. Long game (very) needed. But Farron is quite obviously a dismal leader.'
Local elections are often just local issues e.g anti development, keeping public toilets open etc.with a platform for a local protest party and have little or no connection with national politics.
Agree that Farron is in a job that's too big for him hence zero impact on the national scene..
stupid sexist post: male support: Trump +18. female estimate of the same, Trump +4. Net error +14. female support: Trump -5. male estimate of the same, Trump +9. Net error +14.
So no more men were wrong about their partner than women.

"Corbyn Labour's only focus is on victims. Most people do not see themselves like that. "
The same was said of EdM's Labour.
I think it was perhaps more true then than it is now.

Why the tired and sexist tropes???
