You need to make up your mind whether you are objecting to his declaration or his non declaration. Unless he was referring to his own circumstances then he had no need to declare.

For example you do not need to declare your income tax when debating the Finance Bill. The declaration he has made makes it clear it was from his previous employment. In other words he has done nothing wrong.

The story is a nonsense and you should get your L plates back out.

As for the Forth Bridge stuff the only relevant material is that the SNP made the enitrely sensible and vindicated decision to build against criticism from both Labour and the Greens. As for Brian Monteith he was too busy bringing down his own party leader to bother at that time.

You are the one who needs the 'L-Plates' - first you claim that Parliamentary declarations whether on the register or in the Commons itself relate to current income or interest while an MP not before becoming an MP.

Then go curiously quiet when its pointed out that he did declare it in the register of interest - but not in the House of Commons when criticising HMG over Tax Avoidance.......

What is it with NATs and SNP

    H Y P O C R I S Y ?

scrapped toll fees, losing £60m in revenue and failed to monitor Transport for Scotland when they scrapped £10m of maintenance for structural faults.....

But its all Westminster's fault eh?

Remind me - who was the Cabinet Secretary for Infrastructure, Capital Investment and Cities from September 2012 to November 2014?

Her mind wasn't on other matters, surely?
  • Good to see the SNP take Transport seriously - here are the different titles of SNP Transport Minister:

Minister for Transport, Infrastructure and Climate Change (5/07 - 12/10)

Minister for Transport and Infrastructure (12/10 - 5/11)

Minister for Housing and Transport (5/11 - 9/12)

Minister for Transport and Veterans (9/12 - 11/14)

Minister for Transport and Islands (11/14 to date)

Does anyone think that possibly, just maybe, if their minds had been focussed on Transport and not 'Climate Change', 'Housing' or 'Veterans' (you can make a case for synergies between Transport and 'Infrastructure' and 'Islands'), they might have been on top of their brief and avoided the Forth Bridge imbroglio?

Or would they have been too busy campaigning for independence anyway?

Just as well they had a Cabinet Secretary scrutinising them......

"German vice-chancellor accuses Saudi Arabia of funding Islamic extremism in the West

In a highly unusual moment of a Western politician attacking a critical Arab ally, Sigmar Gabriel says the time has come to make it clear to Riyadh the time of looking away is over"

  • Mr Pethers, however, said he was upset by the fact that several people stood by and recorded the incident on their phones, rather than help. ‘The worst part about it was me and the bloke with the rucksack, we were basically baying for his attention so he would not go for anyone else and there were other adult men standing there, just filming it on their phones.

‘There were so many opportunities where someone could have grabbed him. One guy came up to me afterwards and said “well done, I want to shake your hand, you are the only one who did anything, I got the whole thing on film”.

‘I was so angry, I nearly turned on him but I walked away. I thought “Are you crazy? You are standing there filming and did nothing”. I was really angry afterwards. I had to go for a walk for about two hours to calm down.’

Tw@t filming...I think I would have definitely punched him if he said that.

If something is filmed that can be used as evidence in a trial. Somebody stopping to film may not be as helpful as stopping to help directly but it's more helpful than someone ducking their heads and running away. If I had my wits about me and didn't feel safe to assist I might take a video if I felt safe to do that.

Of course if that video footage is uploaded to social media or sold to the regular media rather than going direct to the authorities that is bad.

    That's surely a spoof?
Its a joke (the Santa-Claude is a hint). Not a very good one but a joke never the less. Unfortunately TSE has a complete sense of humour failure when it comes to the EU.

    I agree with Douglas

Down with this sort of thing.
It must be based on fact - but facts don't always win - you have to appeal to emotion. The best emotion to trigger is to get people to hate the EU rather than to get them to love leaving it.
You won't get a majority to hate the EU by turning yourself into a parody.
No - but you can wage war on two fronts - the factional and emotional. The right tend to do the former too much, the left the latter.
  • for me it is really very impressive. The data and information are at par and superb....me too think like this http://www.realpokeronline.co.uk/top-uk-poker-sites/
