I've been to the Baltic restaurant in Southwark. It serves Eastern European food:

Rain is a blessed gift from on high. We need more of it. Shame there was no snow this winter. Last week in Ottawa it was still on the ground in certain shadowy spots. They had so much this year they were sick of it. Same story when I went down to Boston. It rained there on Saturday. I went to my first ever ice hockey game. The Bruins v Detroit. It was very strange. Strong skating, lots of bumps, no-one ever really having much control over the puck. 19,000 or so packed in. Lots of noise. Sam Adams and very tasty chicken in an executive box for me, which was nice.

Hockey games are different - it happens fast and there's no letup. There's an old line about going to a fight and a hockey game broke out.

When we lived in Toronto we used to go to Maple Leafs games regularly. In those days the team was owned by Harold Ballard and Punch Imlach. Ballard also owned the Hamilton Tigercats.

It's hard to go wrong with Sam Adams!

If rain is blessed we've had enough in the last year that we should be beatified!

A big fat 0 from me too. Agree about Felipe's. Great Ham.

Oddly enough, if Five Guys in Cumming or Suwanee, the Diner at Sugar Hill, Pollo Tropicale, or Gulf Coast Grill in Suwanee had been on the list, the answer would be Yes..

High achieving, middle class boy in custody after teacher's murder:

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/crime/10794504/Leeds-teacher-murder-boy-15-in-custody-after-Anne-Maguire-stabbed-to-death.html

Horrible story. Sincere condolences to the teacher's friends and family.

I don't understand the media. They say he can't be named for legal reasons, but then proceed to give a whole host of details about his family by which he could conceivably be identified.

That is a cool place, went there ion Good Friday. Southwark and Waterloo is a great area, lots ofplaces to eat and drink but not full of wannabes like Shoreditch/Camden

The Laughing Gravy is another good place to eat there

Americans brew some top notch beer these days. You would not have caught me saying that a few years ago, but you can't argue with the likes of Sam Adams, Sierra Nevada, Harpoon, Anchor Steam, Brooklyn Lager and a whole load more. Every town seems to have its own micro brewery these days. It's great.

Hockey was not for me. Baseball I could watch all day. That is a great sport.

I was force fed a meatball despite not really eating red meat. But the atmosphere was fantastic there' was really lively, and the old guy playing guitar perched on high was brilliant!

There's a Five Guys in Covent Garden now. Three burgers and chips, plus drinks, £42. Though we only needed one serving of medium chips really that seemed pretty steep to me.

I used to like baseball and I used to like hockey. But ever since the mid 60s as a kid I've loved football, both NFL and college.so it's my favorite sport. I've been lucky enough to go to a Super Bowl, a World Series game, and about a dozen Monday Night Football games over the years, all monday games featuring my team, America's Team.

I really enjoy basketball (playoffs are crazy at the moment), I'm a fan of the NFL. Baseball I find dull, hockey I can't get into. Watched on tv and been to a live game (of a UK team so not the highest quality) and just didn't connect with it.

The big thing about Five Guys is that they don't have a freezer on the premises - everything is fresh. Potato bags are parked everywhere.

I pay $5.99 for a cheeseburger, $2.79 for regular fries, (which is big enough for two people), and $1.99 for a soda or unsweetened tea.

It's simply the best burger you'll find.

One of the many many things that drove me crazy about the UK is how incredibly expensive everything is - even a MacDonads over there tried to charge me for ketchup packets!

I know the price you pay for natural gas is triple what I pay and petrol is just nonsensical.

It's comng and will be here for 48 hours. There are tornados in Mississippi and Alabama and damage is reported. It's about 70 miles away according to the Weather Channel.

A good guide is that local network affiliates are stopping network programming at 10pm and wil have weather coverage thru the nght, all waving their doppler or HD radar at each other. Local news lives for stuff like this.

I don't know whether SeanT was intending to vote for UKIP in the local elections. Unfortunately he won't be able to because they're not standing in Camden Town with Primrose Hill ward. If he lived on the other side of the road he would have been able to vote for them because they are standing in Regent's Park.

    Camden local elections:
9 of 18 wards have the same line-up: 3 Con, 3 Lab, 3 LD, 3 Green. UKIP are contesting Bloomsbury, Gospel Oak, Haverstock, Kentish Town, Regent's Park, West Hampstead.

Yup; that's why the Thai's have their (Water Festival) New Year in April. If you're prepared for it, it's great fun.

If someone knocked off the 'c' from the outdoor sign, they would get a surprise reading the menu.

I've been Dinner. The food is nice, but it's soulless.

Also, The Ledbury. That was nice, but it was at a function, with 60-odd people, so it was really just posh mass catering.

Finally, I went to the Fat Duck eight years ago. England had just qualified for the second round of the World Cup, and the match was on the Saturday at around 2pm. I called at about 6pm on the Friday to ask if they'd been any cancellations for the Saturday. Why yes, they replied, we have a table for six available. So I booked it, and then called all my friends. We had an incredibly boozy lunch and staggered out at 5:30pm in search of a pub...

Ledbury - perfectly pleasant brassiere but nothing special

Per Se - real disappointment this one. Was really looking forward to it, having read the book & liking Keller's cooking. Overly complex without being interesting, way over priced for what it was. And in a shopping mall. Really wasn't the right atmosphere for a $500 a head meal.

OT but worthy of note. Not sure if this has been mentioned yet today.

If you are using currently using Windows Internet Explorer then the US government has this evening issued a warning that you should stop doing so immediately as there is a major security flaw currently being used to attack US defence and financial organisations.
