Belle Vue on Cumbria (Labour Defence)
Result: Labour 565 (46% -20%), Conservative 435 (35% +1%), UKIP 234 (19%)
Labour HOLD with a majority of 130 (11%) on a swing of 11% from Labour to Conservative

    The Flint result is strong for UKIP with 29% (from nowhere?) versus Conservative 6%

    It would appear that in Belle Vue in Cumbria labour lost a third of their vote with 95% going to UKIP. The tories kept their voters and got 5% of Labours.

    Similarly in Flint nearly half of Labours vote defected with the vast majority going to UKIP.

    If I was Labour I would be worried. It appears that the Clegg - Farage debates have syphoned a chunk of Labours voters to UKIP.
