Protesting against what is going on in Gaza is not glorifying violence - it's the exact opposite. It does not equate to expressing glee at the murders that happened today.

If there are people calling for the death of Jews, or celebrating what happened today, they should be banged up like those who called for the same after Southport.* I'm personally uneasy about any protest happening today given events; we know that some members of the Jewish community find them intimidating. They should have been postponed to tomorrow.

But I would never presume to deny people's right to free assembly, whatever my personal feelings. If we allow a terrorist attack like the one today to lead us to abandon our principles in this way then the Islamist extremists have succeeded in subverting our democracy.

*Note that the police don't often arrest people straight away other than ringleaders - we may find that some individuals are lifted the morning like what happened after the far-right march in London.

You say that but have a Jewish wife and three half Jewish children then tell me that the Gaza flag wavers glorifying Hamas and calling for the eradication of Jews worldwide is just free speech. These thugs are on our streets encouraging acts like the one we saw today, they're out there waving the flags of Hezbollah, Hamas and even ISIS sometimes. They are supporting terrorists and they are celebrating the deaths of innocent people tonight, chanting "from the river to the sea" which is code for "kill all Jews".

We're allowing this kind of extremism against Jews to be normalised in this country with zero consequences, except to the innocent people who get murdered by the terrorists who are inspired to acts of violence by the mob. My wife hasn't been to the temple for almost 6 months, our third child has yet to be taken there either. This is exactly why, there is a huge amount of fear among the British Jewish community and it's time to bring these Gaza thugs to book.

You know who doesn't go around shooting people, stabbing people beheading people, and randomly massacring worshippers for the purposes of their religion? British Jews

Jewish people have lived peacefully in north Manchester for hundreds of years. A nice quiet community, peacefully co-existing with their neighbours. I went to college just up the road in the 1990s and it was a great time. I then lived in Golders Green as a young graduate. As a young woman, I never felt anything other than totally safe there.

These are our people. We need to protect them.

Police will let a pro-Palestine protest go ahead at a Manchester railway station just hours after a terror attack on a synagogue.

The British Transport Police (BTP) said they are stepping up patrols after pro-Palestine activists began urging each other to descend on Manchester station at 5.30pm on Thursday.

A force spokesman said BTP would “facilitate peaceful protest” but that officers would intervene if protesters tried to get inside the station.

Social media posts urged pro-Palestine activists to “block the tracks” in protest against Israel’s arrest of Greta Thunberg.

The protestors are really bad at reading the room, aren't they?

Sadly, the leaders of Hamas will regard the trade of Palestinians lives for greater hatred of Israel as a price well worth paying.

And they got recognition of Palestine from the U.K. as a result of their attack without any obligations on them to do anything at all. They are still holding hostages, slowly starving them. And today we see what "globalise the intifada" means in reality.

As with the Charlie Kirk assassination it's the glee at which the hard left has greeted this terrorist attack that is truly disgusting. A crazy terrorist is a sad fact of our society given the kind of immigration we've had into the country from the Islamic world, the apparent glee at the murder of these innocent people by the Gaza mob really shows what they're about.

We should never have tolerated their presence on our streets in the first place. Trump had it right, all of the foreign agitators should be deported and the rest should start to face consequences for glorifying terrorists and calling for violence against Jews.
