A weird thing about Trump 2.0 is as far as I can recall no one has resigned. In his first time, Trump picked people with some knowledge of the subject or links to certain groups to make up for his own deficiencies.
Trump 1.0 had an almost daily turn over of aides, staff, officers etc.
That came with a relative independence of mind and a willingness to tell him he was wrong, culminating in his removal from office when he lost an election despite his attempt at a coup.
Trump now picks solely for loyalty to the Great Leader, which is why the lunatics genuinely are in charge of the asylum system and everything else.

Re: The first cut is the lightest – politicalbetting.com
Absurd... but as a thought experiment, that would just about balance the books next year (absent an increase in public spending), but how would it help us ?For anyone suggesting cuts - please point out where they can come fromAccording to a Green friend, we should cut/stop paying debt interest, not forever, but for say ten years.
Seriously the only way to cut things would be to stop doing X, so tell me what things you don't want the public sector to do..
We'd compromise forever our ability to borrow - our reputation for paying our debts having being a couple of centuries in the making - and wouldn't significantly reduce the debt total over that period.
Meanwhile the pressures to increase spending on the back of the money "saved" would be irresistible.
It would also destroy the City (which provides a substantial percentage of government income) in the process.
And trash pensions.

The government needs to quickly introduce a pay per view/listen for clips from last night’s match. Deficit paid off by the weekend.

It was Clay Higgins and it was no accident. He said:
"I have been a principled “NO” on this bill from the beginning. What was wrong with the bill three months ago is still wrong today. It abandons 250 years of criminal justice procedure in America. As written, this bill reveals and injures thousands of innocent people – witnesses, people who provided alibis, family members, etc. If enacted in its current form, this type of broad reveal of criminal investigative files, released to a rabid media, will absolutely result in innocent people being hurt. Not by my vote. The Oversight Committee is conducting a thorough investigation that has already released well over 60,000 pages of documents from the Epstein case. That effort will continue in a manner that provides all due protections for innocent Americans. If the Senate amends the bill to properly address privacy of victims and other Americans, who are named but not criminally implicated, then I will vote for that bill when it comes back to the House."
To be honest he has a point and credit to him standing by his principles.

Having watched coverage tonight of Trump's press conference with the Saudi Crown Prince it only confirms my opinion of Trump. He is a vile human being. His treatment of the reporter for asking about the murder of Khashoggi was appalling. I don't know how the rest of the press corp just stood by and said nothing.

I need a third sofa now for the remainder.

Afternoon all.
Grim stuff coming out about the 17-year old Farage. Waiting to find black and Asian pupils alone to intimidate them, regular antisemitic bullying, and Nazi salutes. Not a mild issue, whether 17 years old or not.

I don’t usually partake of a wee malt on a Tuesday night, but this evening I have made an exception.

That was one of the best football matches for a long time.
