FPT - I agree that plenty of Tories are repellent but there's no shortage of nastiness to go round in politics, sadly.
Plenty on the Left practice class warfare, vindictiveness, thinking wealth creators are subhuman, believe in intersectionality and all Whites being advantaged - and should thus be structurally disadvantaged - or actively celebrate violence and the punishment of traitors, lyrics of the Red Flag being very clear.
Bigotry isn't confined to any one part of the political spectrum.

I got home from work to a letter from SSE.; it was a cheque for £140 to compensate for the power cut
While I was opening the letter I put some music on, through my few years old Minirig 1 speaker and appreciated how clear and loud the sound still is
I then checked my email, and had one from Minirig offering me a massive £10 off the cost of their Minirig 4 speaker, bringing the cost down to £140
I ordered one straight away
I highly recommend Minirig. Their speakers are high quality, extremely durable and great value
They're made in Bristol, so we can buy British
I think they'd make an awesome Christmas present

Oh, and the massive tenner off is only until midnight tonight

First thought - I had never heard of any of these people before today.
Second thought - Richard Tice's tweet to Gullis has a pretty nasty threatening tone to it. They're just not very nice people.

As a conservative I have no issue with ex conservatives defecting to Reform and by default accepting Farage's far right policies
Even if I am the last conservative standing, I will not vote for Reform or Labour
And on standing, I have finally been awarded a blue badge today that will help in my battle against my recent loss of mobility

I got a cheap advent calendar off eBay.
I think it must be Russian, as I opened a couple of windows, and what looked like a general and a businessman fell out.

Or LD but only as a tactical vote, she is managing, on leave until January, thanks for askingOr LD if he's a Bath resident.Since he has been able to vote 90% likely he voted Labour or GreenIf he's a student he's probably only be able to vote for a couple of years.Of course I do, he was asked to serve at a Tory do so I suspect was looking for any bad behaviour in a way he probably wouldn't at a standard corporate do. So latched onto one Tory member's rude comment (which was standard banter in most schools sadly when I was growing up) and a comment made by probably less than 1% of attendees and then has endlessly whinged about it to you.You have zero evidence for the bit in bold. Zero. The student brought the story up un prompted when he saw me today.Anecdote - Why is the Tory party so full of shits and wankers? Not excusing the behaviour of the member who used 'retard' as an insult but that student was clearly anti Tory beforehand i suspect and would never have voted Tory anyway. Bath is also a seat the Tories failed to even win in 2019 when they won a landslide UK wide
One of my students works in a Bath hotel. Played host to the local Tory party Christmas do. Poor behaviour all round - called a member of staff 'a retard'.
That's one student never voting Tory.
Has he voted Tory at all in the last 10 years? if not, I rest my case!
Incidentally, Mr HYUFD, how is your wife doing these days? Coming to terms with the situation I hope.

Indeed, you never do but you learn to manage and cope I suppose and sorry to hear about your child's bereavement too, even though they clearly lived a full life it was nonetheless sadly cut short. One never gets over the loss of a child. Even when, as in our case the 'child' was an adult, with children of her own! Thanks. Yes, we are just having a quiet one this year in DartmoorBest wishes to you both, HY. For our part we have buried Theo's ashes in the Parish church near my parents with a nice view of the valley so at least convenient to visit
