Trump has, apparently, banned citizens of the following countries from travelling to the US. Some I can understand, unless they're refugees of course, but what has Bhutan done wrong?Notably not: Russia, Belarus.
The list is:~ Afghanistan, Bhutan, Cuba, Iran, Libya, North Korea, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Venezuela and Yemen.

Last we heard from Cummo, he thought the Tories were beyond hope and needed killing off.At some point, supporters of the Conservative Party have to realise that constantly electing and deposing leaders is not a winning strategy… not that the plotters described in that article are supporters of the Conservative Party.
Anyhow it sounds like Kemi is in for a fun year:
“We’ll get her out sharpish,” one plotter said. “More and more MPs realise she’s doomed. A grid is coming together to bury her in disaster from the locals, keep the pressure on, then f*** [up] conference,” the party’s annual get-together in October. If that does not force Badenoch out, many think the final straw could be the Welsh elections in the spring of 2026, which polls currently suggest Reform will win.

My photo of the day is Newcastle Central station last night.I don't believe that's Newcastle.
They're wearing coats on a Saturday night.

The "anti-woke" movement shows its true colours:By Matt White. Ironic .

And what made the Whites call their son 'Matt'?

Been coming a while.Sad to see the US becoming a failed state . We’re so lucky to live in a country where we still have certain standards that we expect from politicians. I’ve not seen a politician here stand up and mock a disabled person , the tip of the iceberg of detestable behaviour from the stain on humanity .
If the Supreme Court allows this to stand (hard to see it not reaching them), it would allow the US President to deport anyone not born in the US (citizen or not) at will.

I see Turkey has been cleared to buy 40 Typhoon's from BAE, built in the UK. Their original plans to buy F35s were scuppered by the US Government last year. Portugal have now decided not to go through with their order of F35s because of Trump and Canada appear to be following suit.Oh dear, how sad, nevermind.
I guess Lockheed Martin are cursing the US Government.

There is space for everyone here. Well almost everyone, maybe not Saturday Russian trolls.
But why not consume sparingly? Come to the site, read a bit of news, post some things, argue for a while, do a little trolling, but ration the post count. Like enjoying a drink without killing your liver. Consume in moderation.
It’s when one or two people take over the feed to the exclusion of everything else, and just go and on, that others switch off.

That’s not how a democracy with separation of powers works you absolute lunatic. At the end of the day, Trump won the election on a platform of delivering mass deportations and promised to use this act to do it. It's not Trump who is the threat to democracy over this.Been coming a while. They're deporting people against the orders of federal courts too.

Ultimately I think where I'm at is that Americans are going to have to choose to be a democracy or not.
You can have all the laws and constitutions you like, but if people stand by while they're broken then they're not worth much.

Trump was elected as president within a system of laws. He wasn’t elected as a king

There is no need for anybody to leave. PB is big enough for @Leon, @BatteryCorrectHorse , and every other similar individual. Plus @Sandpit, @isam, @Charles, and everybody else who has left voluntarily. Why don't we have a vote, to see whether PB-ers, regulars and lurkers alike, would rather you or I stayed?Oh @Leon has returned!Sadly.
Hi Sean 👍
I will be off.
Seriously. It might be interesting. If you win, fair enough - I shall bugger off for good (and I really don't know how it would go)
Call a plebiscite!
