Clean energy is not the same as cheap energy. If a government invests tens/hundreds of billions in clean energy it needs to show the benefits. And those factories and their jobs were visible benefits. Benefits which the Dems did not campaign on. And by not campaigning on them they conceded the economic argument to Trump. -
