Re: The top pollster from GE2019 has LAB lead in double figures – politicalbetting.com
Seattle Times ($) - 'Subtle’ tsunami surges from undersea eruption hit Washington coast, as officials warn of waves to come The first tsunami surges from an underwater volcanic eruption in the South Pacific began hitting the Washington coast shortly after 8:30 a.m. Saturday and were — as predicted — quite modest. “It was… -
Re: politicalbetting.com » Blog Archive » Damian Green – my 70/1 longshot to be next CON leader
I think some of you are missing the point about land work. I did it most holidays up until I left for University. By the time I got to age 13, I'd already had a history of bean pulling and pea-pulling, and at 13, I starting going on the vans. But it was zero hours with a vengeance. if it rained, you got nothing. In the… -

As we await Scottish Constituency polling, as an SNP ex-Labour supporter from Stirling, which is a key marginal highlighted by Anti-frank in his excellent article of yesterday, I thought I would give you my perspective on the SNP surge and its likely impact in May 2015. My background, I’m Scottish but spent 20 years… -

PB Brains Trust - Can I ask for help figuring out what's gone wrong with my Laptop? Windows 10. TL;DR - It kept failing to boot this morning, repeatedly, failing every repair and diagnostic I tried, then booted up like normal and seems to be working fine. Woke up this morning ~6:30am and the Laptop was on a pre-boot Win 10… -

From a couple of threads ago (sorry, have been busy generating export earnings) Do you even understand what you are asking about? Should a donation from a church group include an element for the church building? Should a donation from Charles include an element for Daddy's staff that made it possible? Should a donation… -

It varies. Typically between 3% & 18% The way I understand it, the factors affecting the overround are; How competitive the market is - If noone else is offering odds, then you can go 4/5 either way on an evens shot. How much is being wagered -eg a Saturday PL football match odds market will attract millions of pounds in… -

@HurstLlama Sorry for the delay in replying I've been busy with another effing bank which doesn't think I should have access to my own money. Mr L the standard Southern response atm is "prejudice" really you chaps need to get in to listening mode. I am well aware that in your neck of the woods you will have businesses… -
Re: Undefined discussion subject.
Evening all :) A few observations on the eve of a Royal Ascot unlike any other. Out and about this evening in downtown East Ham, fewer people wearing masks and the last vestiges of lockdown seem to have faded away. Social distancing more honoured in the breach than the observance and regrettably the normal urban selfish… -
Re: politicalbetting.com » Blog Archive » The first polling verdict is in
Well this is just an anecdote, but I had lunch with my parents today. Normal not particularly political couple of pensioners. They read the Daily Express so these aren't socialists in any way. They always vote but make their minds up afresh each election. Vote Tory most often but voted for Blair and Brown. Ruled Miliband… -
Re: politicalbetting.com » Blog Archive » LAB’s just reignited pensions as a battleground
< So let me get this right, Saddo. When it comes to May 7th, some voters who have previously been minded to vote Labour will suddenly think to themselves 'Ed is crap', or words to that effect. It won't have occurred to them before, but now faced with the momentous decision in the polling booth they become aware of the… -

Actually, completely off topic, but I know there's a big wealth of knowledge out there and I'd like to tap it. I've been trying to work out who the longest serving cabinet ministers are (that's Cabinet, not junior). It is surprisingly difficult to find the answer. Consecutively, since 1832 I think Lloyd George holds the… -

Part 3 ... Phillip may have been laid back and easy company off the pitch but on it he was a tremendous competitor. I will never forget him confronting the formidable former South African fast bowler Andre Nel during probably his best innings for Middlesex, the 195 he smashed against Surrey at The Oval. Nel had taken… -

Tim, I know Choudary is an embarrassment to most sane British muslims, and I'm lucky enough to live in an area where racial disharmony doesn't exist. I have no argument with that, and despite me posting that 'Luton' thing, I don't know the area from Adam. It might as well be China to me; I just thought it was an… -

Part two of post The alternative was to travel to an identity verification centre. So I checked those out. The nearest was in Lanarkshire, other side of Glasgow, I am in remote Argyll. Nevertheless, I called them. You.needed to make an appointment, not according to your choice but theirs (like NHS OPD in the bad old days)… -
Re: politicalbetting.com » Blog Archive » Surely Douglas Carswell can’t remain in UKIP for much longer,
Well it is definitely right to highlight the absurdity of a party getting 12.6% of the votes in a GE and 0.15% of the seats. Labour beat UKIP 2.4-1 on votes and 232-1 on seats!! As for Carswell, I find it hard to care. Farage is right that he doesn't seem to belong in UKIP. My own personal experience is that I campaigned… -

Afternoon all :) As I'm neither statistician, epidemiologist, virologist nor immuno-biologist (and probably can't spell any of them either), I feel very much in the lion's den on here at the moment. I'm just a simple Stodge so this is how it looks to me - first, the re-vitalisation of the High Street looks to be inevitable… -

Like Putin or not, his record with the oligarchs is unimpeachable. It was Yeltsin who allowed the oligarchs to develop their powerbases. OK, it may have been an excusable consequence of rapid transition to a free market economy, but it was the oligarchs who ended up returning Yeltsin to power. When Putin gradually took… -

I was one of the three MPs who had an hour with Hilary Benn just before he decided against the cull. I'm against it, but think the "are badgers nice or nasty?" and "should we disturb the species balance?" arguments are beside the point. I don't especially favour one species over another but if we go in for widespread…
