@tig86 I walk through Waterloo everyday and am always as careful as possible - there's nothing worse than someone in a rush bashing into you, but accidents do happen at busy times when people are rushing for their train. There's been quite a focus on sexual assaults taking place on London transport. Take a look at this… -

It's strange how many Religion-focussed debates with atheists, however erudite they are upon other topics, so quickly descend to sub GCSE level hypothesising and infantile straw men. My primary school contained a variety of belief (and non-belief) systems, and I don't think anyone was scarred, or indeed indoctrinated by a… -

All eyes on Spain and none on the UK, Robert? Tsk! Tsk! as Gildas might have said. The Markit/CIPS UK Manufacturing PMI was released an hour later this morning and is surprisingly good news. We have seen monthly indicators turn down if remain good over the past two to three months so the Manufacturing PMI's rise was a… -

And how will they enforce it? You want to attack Drakeford for changing something unenforceable for something unenforceable. You don't see the hole in your argument...? Why not attack Shagger for setting the unenforceable thing at 3? And don't say "people know what they are allowed to do. Because that has just been changed… -

The local Tory County Councillor has been quiet as a dormant mouse since there last election. Now all of a sudden he's up and charging about on local County Council-related issues. Of course the Greens winning seats in the District elections last year, and doing things, won't have anything whatsoever to do with it. -

Good morning Seems we have both been in the wars recently Mike, and best wishes to you and take care I have had a couple of falls recently, but fortunately did not end up in hospital, and I am more aware and pleased I fitted handrails everywhere in the house and garden recently It seems our family are going through a phase… -

They are getting data every hour from the 140+ chosen polling stations and are making comparisons on last time at exactly the same point. I'm told by a friend who has been part of the team in the past that they start to get a pretty good idea by the end of the morning. The point is that the sampling points are generally… -

On the other hand, I've recently been binge-listening to In Our Time. Enough reason in itself to keep the blessed BBC! I'm as critical of the BBC as the next person. But on the whole it has to be the best value entertainment there is. I cannot think of anything else where I get so many hours of joy for £145.50 a year. ;) -

From the Guardian: "Brexit party insiders said Labour’s reliance upon a mainly Pakistani vote in inner-city wards had been the difference between the parties. “Some of these houses had 14 people in them registered to vote. It would be interesting to see what proportion voted Labour,” said one. Labour have denied relying on… -

You get to be PM if you can show you command a majority in the HoC. Essentially you have to be able to pass a money bill. As you govern you derive your authority from that majority. If you have lost your majority you have lost your authority. This can be partial or absolute. May forgot she had to build a majority for a… -

And BT managed to fuck that up pretty well as well. They spent 18 months telling me I could not have Fibre broadband to my house because it wasn't available in my area. That's the impression I got from the book. All the interrogators were German speakers and had spent time in the country. It was politeness to do the salute. In the same manner, Germans had probably done toasts to 'God save the King'. One thing I hadn't been aware of was the role of a small house in Godmanchester (near…
