Re: politicalbetting.com » Blog Archive » After six weeks of CON leads or them level-pegging today Lo
I make no apologies for reposting what I put on a previous thread. On the Today programme this morning there was an interview with a prominent Danish Jew and he was saying that they had got used to going out without anything which might identify them as Jewish i.e. no Star of David or kippah. And it was the phrase "they… -
Re: politicalbetting.com » Blog Archive » Some points from today’s new polling
3M is the only US company with N95 production facilities in the region, and hence the only company from which the US could have 'confiscated' the order. They have no record of the so-called Berlin order. The Mayor of Berlin later admitted that the order was with a German company, (and hence not susceptible to the US… -
Re: The decline and fall of the GOP – politicalbetting.com
I mentioned I went to the pub with a couple of mates (inside watching the football) last Sunday, then found out on Weds one of them had got Covid, after someone who had been working round his house had tested positive, although he ever went near the bloke and the doors were open. Since then his wife and two kids have… -
Re: Lockdown: Trying to work out what the public will stand for and what it won’t – politicalbetting.com
I'm flexible, I'd be ok for unlimited people at Christmas dinners provided they all had been in isolation for the preceding 14 days and were free of the symptoms. I went to a wedding in Birmingham this weekend, I didn't go back to my house until I had a private test and had the results back. I realise that's not an option… -

Re: Election betting: CON majority drops to a 39% chance – politicalbetting.com
Well, Philip, you have said some really dumb things in th emany many hours you spend on here pointlessly defending the pointless, but this one tops the lot in terms of ignorance: "HMG's handling of the pandemic has been the best in Europe." hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah -
Re: The voting segment that is most hostile to BoJo – ABC1 Remainers – politicalbetting.com
Another oddity is that IIRC the Survation poll showed Galloway making no headway in Spen (on 1% - see https://www.survation.com/survation-batley-and-spen-constituency-poll-tables-1/), which I think bears out what my friends tell me, since I think both Muslim wards are in Batley. So I'm sceptical about the anonymous… -
Re: politicalbetting.com » Blog Archive » The Leave seat with a miniscule LAB majority that didn’t fall
That's very fair, and I basically agree. I've seen lamping (the alternative to hunting) and it is equally unpretty. You get lots of horribly injured foxes, loping off to die, god knows where, for many hours. But it's a long long way from what Maugham did. 36 hours later I still can't get my head around his mentality.… -

Re: politicalbetting.com » Blog Archive » Starmer now firm odds-on favourite to succeed Corbyn
My favourite example of that kind was of a survivor from Grenfell angrily telling the media nobody from the council had been to help them, and saying only this other woman next to her had done anything to try and sort things out, and how grateful she was for this person stepping up where the council failed. So the reporter… -

Apologies for the non reply to the person who asked me yesterday to comment on rumours of tensions between US & UK forces at Kabul and that UK miltary were venturing out to do extraction operatiosn in kabul. I could not quite add all the rumours up and was wondering why such operations, assumed very quietly done, were… -

Re: politicalbetting.com » Blog Archive » Henry G Manson’s 33-1 Sadiq for Mayor tip is looking better
The 33/1 tip from Henry will go down as one of pb's greatest if Sadiq goes on to take this. I agree with Mike that the 6/1 still looks very tasty. He had a sticky moment last year when Paul Staines hounded him over alleged mobile phone use at the wheel but all that seems to have done is boost his public profile.… -
