Re: During the four years of Trump the Republicans have lost the House, the Senate and the Presidency –
Re the Police Scotland video above, watching the Sturgeon presser - Police say they were called to an ongoing house party, police had body cameras switched on. 3 people have been charged with violent conduct, and referred to the Procurator Fiscal. I'm sure this can all be straightened out. Clearly a number of people on… -
Re: Johnson exit betting: Now odds-on he’ll survive till 2024 or later – politicalbetting.com
Feeling like a very minor PB celebrity this morning. Obviously nothing like the fame (or infamy) of @leon or @hyufd. Why? Well I have been referenced unsolicited twice in the last 24 hours. This has rather gone to my head. In fairness one reference was for a post I didn't make (I hope it was good) and this morning nameless… -

After Boston: Who knew what? As it turns out the authorities had a only one strong pointer from the outset, it was a Jihadist inspired attack, and went down that track almost exclusively within the first hours. It may well be that the surviving brother will blame his sibling and the home-brewed attack story will carry… -
Re: At evens LAB looks value for a Commons majority – politicalbetting.com
Morning all. On topic, a new leader might get them back to 10 or so behind and hoping for swingback but it might equally be now terminal velocity. On the topic of nuclear spookular, he's not moved anything into position, so a widespread exchange is a fair way off, he would currently just about get his sub stuff and silo… -
Re: Like Boris Johnson, Rishi Sunak uses his chopper with reckless abandon – politicalbetting.com
You're not wrong, of course. I approach it from a slightly different angle - if you think we should be running a balanced budget and ideally a surplus to begin to pay back the mountain of debt we have accumulated, how do you get to that? The other aspect is we aspire to European levels of public services on American levels… -
Re: TACTICAL VOTING AT THE 1997 GENERAL ELECTION – politicalbetting.com
We have had an extensive cull round here nd as a result I haven't seen a badger in a couple of years. (The hedgehogs though say "Yay!"). Before that, they used to rip up a field behind the house every August. Looked like half of it had been ploughed. I was told the trick to stop them doing this was to throw handfuls of… -
Re: politicalbetting.com » Blog Archive » Why the markets are bullish about the Tories’ chances
There are broadly two types of people in The City who take risks with other peoples' money: 1. Fund Managers (which encompasses both traditional long-only managers, and hedge fund managers) 2. Traders at Investment Banks The average 'life expectancy' in fund management is something like three and a half years. Those that… -
Re: politicalbetting.com » Blog Archive » Alistair Meeks says that he EU is not as central an issue a
I don't hate the EU and there are aspects of it which I think are very worthwhile. But as I've said at nauseam I think its direction of travel and the implications for Britain are - as far as one can tell, given the sometimes lack of transparency and honesty by many within the EU and amongst its supporters here - not or… -
