Re: The change in Johnson’s approval rating region by region – politicalbetting.com
As an aside, it's hard not to (being cynical) conclude that the attempted change to the way MPs standards are policed was nothing to do with Paterson. Indeed, Paterson offered Boris cover to change the system. And why would the system need changing. Because there is a report coming on Boris's behaviour. The… -

Re: Burnham is overpriced as the 22% favourite to succeed Starmer – politicalbetting.com
If it was during a parliament he’d have to persuade a friendly LAB MP to give up his job thus creating a by-election in which Burnham could return to the Commons. This does not factor in the unpredictability of electorates in by-elections. Voters tend not to like being used to parachute a big-name politician into their… -

Re: Will Paterson be the trigger for the Tories to lose their poll lead? – politicalbetting.com
@MichaelLCrick Newsnight has twice just called the Paterson affair a “lobbying scandal”. I personally think it is a scandal, but it’s wrong for Newsnight, part of a broadcaster which is meant by law to be impartial, to make such a judgement. https://twitter.com/MichaelLCrick/status/1456027777128337414 -

Bonkers nonsense on London 'zones'. There are interesting places to visit in all zones of London. Barnes, Richmond, Chiswick, Hampton Court, Walthamstow Village (yes!), Epping Forest – all outside the inner zones. I'm stunned, amazed, slightly saddened that people even think in 'zones' any more. GET OUT AND ENJOY YOUR CITY… -

Re: Climate change: The huge opinion gap in the US – politicalbetting.com
If you take up flint-knapping, you'll probably be researching it anyway. The ads are reactive, and often too late. The vast majority of the ads I get served from Google seem to have zero relevance to me: and I don't use ad-blockers or that sort of thing. Worse, they can be too late. I bought a new laptop last year, and… -
