Re: Starmer out of line on Brexit with GE2019 LAB voters – new poll – politicalbetting.com
But that does at least make sense, Mr Burgessian. Once they had finished their civil war, the Americans could start to settle down again as one united country. In contrast, the intention of some people is to make Scotland a separate country, with pensions paid for by what would then be a foreign country. ie the rest of us.… -

You know, as I was writing, I was thinking that a few Liberals had probably found their way into Government in the intervening time. I should have been more precise in my wording, so apologies. That aside, the involvement in the Coalition by the Lib Dems was to a level not seen since David Lloyd George in the 1920s. -

I am not sure that is all that accurate. Let's take BLM. It is perfectly admirable to organise against US Police Officers indiscriminately killing predominantly black people. It is also fine for Starmer and Harri to take the knee in unity with them The bit I disagree with is demanding the white British nation apologises… -

Absolutely! I don't think even the most vocal Remainers thought the EU was anything other than unwieldy and incompetent, verging in some instances on the corrupt, but the trade off we gained from being able to live and work unfettered, from the Southern tip of Sicily to the Arctic Circle and most points in between, was… -

Situation rather similar to that prevailing under the last of the Stuarts, from Charles II through Anne. Perhaps the Churchill that Boris is REALLY trying to emulate, is not Winston, but rather John, 1st Duke of Marlborough? Who first gained advancement sleeping with Charles II's (then chief) mistress, glomming onto James… -

One "maybe we CAN quickly help by throwing money at it" idea would be: - If frontline medical staff spend a significant time of their days doing administration and jumping through hoops, recruiting administration assistants to help take that burden might free up more time for the medical staff (and thus both reduce time…
