I didn't know that, I don't pretend to be 'a serious player' - I can't imagine anything worse, and my assumption was that this was a general VAT cut, which I think IS an interesting suggestion, because I have always said that any Government provision should not necessarily be given directly to power bills, so that people… -

I disagree. A lot of the Gospel of Matthew was written well before the end of the First Century. Then of course there are the letters of St. Paul, which no one really disputes were written in the 50's and 60's.
