Re: The numbers do add up for Sunak – politicalbetting.com
I support teaching more maths, but how about teaching the maths that is actually taught so that it sinks in? What's Sunak's plan for youngsters like the lad who works in my local Tesco's who must have had at least 11 years of maths at school but doesn't have the slightest clue how to reduce prices by 90%? (Sadly he was… -
Re: Something does not add up – politicalbetting.com
There's actually a constraint pay con on that I think could be a 'good' con (as much as any cons can be good). Wind providers get constraint payments for withholding power from the grid when asked, but can actually double their money by storing that power and selling it later. Yes, it's a con on the billpayer, but if the… -

No, but I think Covid and the effects on the nation's health goes along way on that. Delayed diagnosis can give significantly worse prognosis, inability to access primary care is not helping, some are likely dying in ambulances outside A&E or on the kitchen floor after 10 hours waiting. No question the UK has an old, sick… -

Were the GOP really stupid enough to think, at time of nominations, that Georgia wasn't going to be close and they could afford to lose a few percent? They'd have been hopeful, certainly, but Warnock was a strong incumbent in a purple state - and most Republicans felt he was beatable but not a total pushover. Similarly,… -

Re: Could 2023 see Sunak’s Tories edging back in the polls? – politicalbetting.com
I don't think Labour sneering at the maths policy is a good look either. It makes them look anti-education and anti-success. I think the maths policy is solving a problem that's just not as urgent as other ones and it also requires a lot more joined up thinking than just throw maths teachers at it. We have an education… -

Re: Has Sunak misread the public mood on the strikes? – politicalbetting.com
There are large regional variations in A&E attendance. Unless you believe whole regions of GP practices are failing (in which case redirecting patients from London to Yorkshire for primary care presents a bit of a problem) then it's not as simple as you make out. As with many 'quick fix' incentives used in the NHS, it also…
