I'd be surprised if it is, as it's got standard sleepers and the 7ft gauge was carried on longitudinal baulks of timber with cross-ties to keep them in gauge. Must have been fun with re-gau… (View Post)1 -

Tebay is not north of Hadrian's Wall. On the west coast, it runs to Gretna (well, Bowness on Solway, but that's on the southern edge of the firth's coast). (View Post)2 -

I don't know the wall in that area (obviously!) and I wrongly thought it ran to the mouth of the firth before following the southern bank. But Carlisle's still far north of Tebay. (View Post)2 -
