But an advisory referendum boycotted by the pro-Union parties which produces a 75% - 80% Yes vote on a 45% turnout will carry little weight at all. (View Post)1 -

Legally the Brexit Referendum result could have been ignored, but the political willl to do that did not exist. An advisory Referendum held in defiance of Westminster would be a very different matter. (View Post)1 -

But in advance of the Brexit vote there were political statements made to the effect that the result would be honoured - that it was De Facto binding if not De Jure. There is no such political intent… (View Post)1
