I'm sure they were a very rare sight in London skys. My uncle flew in Lancasters, almost exclusively after the war. They flew over Germany though, and apparently were quite keen to have bombing runs … (View Post)3 -

I wandered over to Hyde park to see the Lancaster in the VE Day overflight. It was great to see it, but I didn't really hear it (London background noise) - I think you need the two ideally. (View Post)1 -
