Labour in ’51 got 48.8% Tories 48% including Ulster Unionists and National Liberals. Although some UU’s were unopposed.-1 -

He had though won at Tribunal and the Home Office appealed. It’s a bit difficult to see how a student who, for whatever reason, decides to stay, to clock up 10 years residence.-1
