This is quite concerning. NATOs Wedgetail (= AWACS replacement) programme has been afaics essentially killed by US withdrawal.
I'm not sure where this laves the UK.
NATO’s effort to replace its ageing E-3A Sentry fleet has been upended after the United States pulled out of the alliance’s planned purchase of up to six Boeing E-7 Wedgetails, leaving the programme without a strategic or financial anchor, the UK Defence Journal understands.
The Dutch Ministry of Defence confirmed that Washington withdrew from the AWACS replacement effort in July, prompting the Netherlands and several European partners to abandon the joint plan.

I think so. The piccie on the Georgia Police wiki article has "Police" on the back of their tunics. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Law_enforcement_in_Georgia_(country) (View Post)1 -

Recruitment has imo been withering on the vine from about 2020-2023, with spending flat in cash terms (ie real terms cut of ~15-20%), and performance against target fell from 84% to 60%. I'm not… (View Post)1 -
Re: Defence of the realm – politicalbetting.com
AFAIK that's mainly to do with delays to F35, and cost efficiency. We either waited for Block-4, which has been delayed for years from I think 2026 to 2029 (not sure if that is the date for UK o… (View Post)1
