May was exceptional for moths - 225 species in the garden and very large numbers some nights - but before and after very underwhelming this year. (View Post)1 -

That makes sense. Their larvae are apparently ferocious predators, as are ant-lions. (Ant-lion larvae are known as "doodlebugs". Which I didn't know...) (View Post)1 -
