Also worth noting that nationalised companies will find it politically even more difficult to address the #1 issue leading to hosepipe bans, which is the need for more reservoirs. (View Post)2 -

I recall hosepipe bans being quite common before privatisation too. It's certainly not obvious to me that the state would be any more efficient in managing water supply. (View Post)2 -
