The idea is simple – rather than ask those sampled how they will vote you seek to get their estimates of what vote shares the parties will get. The sample is prompted with the GB national vote percentages from last time. UKIP IS included in the prompt.

    Mr. T, it's wrong to treat atheists as a single group in the same way it's wrong to treat everyone not interested in football as a single group. There's no unifying beliefs beyond the very basic "There's no god(s)", no structure or politics and no holy book (and no, The Blind Watchmaker is not the equivalent of the Bible).

    It's not too surprising that some are angry, militant and prone to being annoyed by pieces such as yours. On the bright side, there's no fatwa on your head yet.

    Where the hell did the 11 points go?!?

    The before total adds up to 101 on shares of 29 Con, 15 LD, 14 UKIP and 43 Lab. Unless others were on -1 last time something with these shares is definitely wrong.

    Hint. There is plenty of evidence people lie this far out on Voting Intention. To get their true intentions, you have to be crafty, and ask them a proxy question, like the WI or PM approval...

    I've only ever run 4km in 25 minutes, but if I can run 5km in 25 minutes and 46 seconds then I will have run a smidgen faster than half the speed of Mo Farah - the double Olympic and World champion.
