Presumably if the Democrats ever win the presidency again the numbers in favour of presidential pardons will flip.
The vast majority of the party would support (eg) the requirement for Congressional sign off on presidential pardons.

President Trump, "In my opinion many European countries will not be viable countries any longer"
"If you take a look at Paris, it's a much different place to what it was"
"If you take a look at London, you have a Mayor named Khan, he's a horrible mayor. An incompetent mayor. But he's a horrible vicious disgusting mayor"

Is it true Trump has announced the US resignation from NATO ?
Lot of talk about the European coalition of the willing but not a leader in sight, just endless meetings chasing cul de sacs, but never in the history of man has there been such hugging and self satisfaction looks from those who have nothing to really say how to get us out of this war with Ukraine
And madder.
Trump: I said, why is it we only take people from shithole countries, right? Why can’t we have people from Norway, Sweden, Denmark? But we always take people from Somalia — places that are filthy, dirty, and disgusting.

Ukrainian maritime drones have hit another Russian shadow fleet tanker, Dashan, under the flag of the Comoros, in the Black Sea.

MAGA, but as yet without the Trump sharpie tick.
OTOH
The United States is now included in the threat assessment issued by Denmark’s Defence Intelligence Service regarding risks to Denmark.
“The United States no longer excludes the possibility of using military force, even against its allies,” according to the latest assessment published by the Forsvarets Efterretningstjeneste (FE), Denmark’s military intelligence agency responsible for foreign and security-related threats.
Several Danish media outlets, including Berlingske and Politiken, report on the findings.
“The United States is now using its economic and technological strength as an instrument of power, including against allies and partners,” the report states.
This marks the first time the United States has been identified in the assessment as a country that may pose a security threat to Denmark.

No doubt because of Govt taxing it to death
He repeats ad infinitum - 14 years, black hole, Liz Truss, to the point anyone could write his response
For example:
"In 2023, the SEC brought civil fraud charges against Sun, alleging the unregistered sale of crypto securities, market manipulation, and deceptive practices, such as paying celebrities to promote tokens without disclosing their compensation. In January, Sun purchased $75 million of $TRUMP with 75 percent of the profits ($56.25 million) going directly to the Trump family. The next month, court documents showed that the SEC had agreed to pause the case as they engaged in talks with Sun to resolve the claims. In July, Sun announced his intention to purchase $100 million more of $TRUMP. Recently, he complained on social media that his $WLFI coins (a different coin sold by World Liberty Financial) had been “unreasonably frozen,” but then announced that he would be purchasing even more $WLFI tokens. His case remains pending, but there is no indication the SEC is actively pursuing it."

The ability to buy Cryptocurrency which directly enriches the Trump family has made a mockery of the traditional limits of corruption. Everything is for sale.
Any large scale migration of people has to be subject to political and democratic control so there is accountablity. Make it discretionary rather than a universal right and it solves the problem. The way we managed Ukrainian refugees should be used as the model for the entire system going forwards.
NY Times
The general economic malaise reported by some on here has even reached the reselling market with one of Mrs Stodge's friends calling it "much quieter" than the past couple of years.
Again, only anecdotal evidence but I suspect it's going to be another poor Christmas for retailers as well.
It's probably worth remembering Khan leads Trump 3-2 in elections won (so far).
Horrible, disgusting = Hyperbolic personal character assassination but just within plausibility some objectively think this.
Vicious = Outside plausibility that people genuinely find him vicious.
"Czar" Putin does not have dissident friends.
(Assuming it's a joke is the kindest thing I can do. If you wonder why I say that, read this book: https://www.amazon.com/How-America-Lost-Its-Secrets/dp/0451494563
Warning: It's not very kind to the Guardian.
Incidentally, one of the things I like most about the book is Epstein's unanswered questions.)
We've become used to the protections of the EU Single Market which essentially is a closed shop and we are now unchained to find our place in the world - but we don't want to put in the shift to find it.
NEWS: A group of House GOP mods will file a discharge petition for a 2 year extension of enhanced Obamacare subsidies THIS WEEK
Enough R's on board so that it could succeed IF House Dems support it
It would be for Fitzpatrick-Golden bill
The House GOP mods are taking a big step to break w/ their leadership & try to force an ACA vote
The big q is if House Dems will get on board. Some have concerns w/ Fitzpatrick-Golden bill & House Dem leaders are pushing discharge for 3-yr clean extension - a nonstarter for R’s

If you put those together this is what you get.
One of the guarantors of our territorial integrity is demanding that we hand over our territory to another guarantor of our territorial integrity in exchange for new guarantees for whatever remains of our territorial integrity.

Not exactly.
The U.S. isn't promising any territorial guarantees any more.
Then you have the ideologues, chancers and crooks around him in a general melange of mutual exploitation and dependency.
It's not great.
The lists of pardonees are exactly what you would expect if you read back in to say the first half of the 20C.
I live and work in London, and the main negative adjective I would use for him is being invisible. Not really doing anything of note. Which is obviously much better than a Mayor doing lots of harm, and not as good as a Mayor who delivers lots of positive initiatives.
People like Trump using overly strong adjectives about Khan are saying more about themselves than him.
Criticising Sadiq Khan - racism 😂
But he’s not vicious or disgusting, words which speak to him as a person rather than his performance as an elected official
I said 'in such terms' as the previous comment of him being 'vicious'.
You're free to criticise his policy on bus fares.
What a fuckin' ludicrous comment. The issue is not the pros and cons of the cosmopolitan people one rubs shoulders with in the also-rans queue but the reality that there was no queue through the Schengen/ EU gate.

Then my first ever attempt at chocolate souffle, using a Swiss meringue base. Sadly I over whipped the base, which I will learn from.
Still everyone said it was delicious and all was eaten.
Personal rating: 6/10
FWIW
Central casting for the role of “London Mayor” with one line in the movie.
Hating him is like hating a stack of printer paper.
Seems almost vaguely dystopian, somehow. But I suppose for that Winston Smith would have to remember a time when the chocolate ration was 30g per person but it was increased to chocolate-flavoured ration of 35g.
