'quit wasting your time on this politics crap tell us what's new in luvvie world. We're swinging."
You certainly are! A film about The Kon-tiki expedition at the Assembly Rooms and 'Fly Tying' lessons at the Unicorn. You'll be twinning with Rotherham next.
Labour, 14/1 for a majority. I hope it doesn't happen, but that's a price I can't let go.
But I've thought about this story many times, and it is something I can't comprehend, and I'm not sure I'll ever comprehend.
14 is very good too.
Con 35%
SNP 34%
SF 30%
Lab 1%
...but I can't post it on here because Mike won't let me!
Well colour me shocked. I'm amazed - and impressed. You found someone who's voting Lib Dem?
How endangered is your relly ? Toast, crouton or charcoal ?
Plus, it's only a two-horse race if two horses have a good chance at an overall majority and it's not obvious to me that Labour do.
This article covers how women are recruited into prostitution. The study was in Vancouver (and again much of the prostitution cross cultural). The methods are fairly universal, so a fairly similar story to Rotherham.

What differs from previous pimps recruiting is the muslim gang domination. My police friends tell me that these gangs also control other areas of organised crime, particularly drugs.

Mhairi Black, the 19 year old currently on course to topple Douglas Alexander in Paisley South:

I see there was lots of speculation about Tory success in Scotland in May. Frankly it depends on who the SNP takes votes from. It was YES leaning areas we saw in today's polls. Remember even when the SNP won a landslide in 2011, it couldn't oust the Tories across the South of Scotland, the region with by far the highest NO vote in September.

Reasonably safe I think. It's Edinburgh not some pimply village in braveheartland.
Nick Clegg could be the biggest casualty of the general election, with a poll showing he risks losing his seat to Labour.
The exclusive survey put Labour 10 points ahead of the Deputy PM in his Sheffield Hallam constituency.
And a separate poll found fellow Lib Dem MP Danny Alexander could lose his Scottish constituency.
The Survation survey for the Unite union put Labour on 33%, Lib Dems on 23%, Tories on 22%, Greens on 12% and UKIP on 9%.

Struck me as a core vote strategy=failure to me..
I take it you're not in London ? A real metropolitan would say Edinburgh IS some pimply village in Braveheartland :-)
Ed Davey for next leader?
Afraid I can't agree with you about 14/1 though - maybe 40/1, perhaps.
Perhaps SeanT should ask his PC girlfriend about how prostitutes are recruited, traficked and exploited in London.
But since the new year, we've received 6 Lib Dem leaflets/newspapers.
My mother's been canvassed twice (as she's identified as a 2010 Lib Dem) and we've been phone polled in the last three weeks.
"Anyone else who watched/listened to PMQ's think that ED Miliband invited the PM to kick him in the goolies (metaphorically speaking)_ every time he repeated his question?"
I think you're right. Ed's campaign looks like it's going to based around goading Cameron and Osborne into behaving like the Hooray Henry's they are.
It seems to be working better than he dared hope
The question is: Would you be happy for your daughter to become a $1000 dollar a day hooker? If so what is a reasonable age to start?
If it is not good enough for your daughter, then why is it for any one elses?

Good to see a local aspiring politician taking the report's conclusions seriously:
He is scandal prone Labour Councillor Mahroof Hussain's nephew.
I'm afraid credibility is shot with that glaring omission.
The Lib Dems are very good local campaigners.
Dear Roger who calls everything wrong. How many of your average Labour voters have any idea what a hedge fund is.???? Most of your everyday labour voters will think its a savings fund to get your hedges cut...
I remember when this debate erupted around street prostitution in Scotland in the middle of the last decade, when kerb-crawling was made illegal. So many middle-class white feminists cared so much, until the law was passed. After the law was passed, attacks on street sex workers went up 100%. At this point they'd stopped caring though, and moved onto something else.
I have condemned Rotherham (and similar scandals elsewhere) on many occasions.
There is certainly an element of the Muslim community that considers these girls as Chattels to be passed around and traded. They should be prosecuted and if Police have turned a blind eye, for corrupt reasons or for intelligence on other issues then they too should be exposed and prosecuted.
But these methods of recruiting and controlling young girls are as old as the hills.
The problem seems to be you.
Check out the constituency odds !
"No 3: Well, well, what a surprise. Seumas Milne thinks the answer is.. to move left. Who'd a thunk it?"
Leaving out any idealogical preference I think he's right. Labour will not just drift to victory and as the clock is striking midnight they're realizing it. They need a sharp USP which can only be going hard left. Big attacks on hedge funds tax avoiders the super rich....and then go massive on soup kitchens bedroom taxes IDS etc etc.
Don't let themselves get bogged down in detail like Ed B foolishly did last night.
How many prostitutes are making a $1000 a day and retiring after 10 years?
I mean perhaps the SNP candidate, leader of Highland Council could get caught in a compromising position in a hotel room with two teenage girls. But that doesn't seem to have stopped Angus MacNeill holding the far more conservative Na h-Eileanan an Iar in 2010.

Brown's an irrelevance. His 'lucky' constituents will soon be able to vote in an MP who actually bothers to turn up and represent them in Parliament.
