    From the standpoint of a long-standing London Labour activist I think Khan's reselection as Labour candidate and subsequent reelection as Mayor are as close to dead certs as you can get in politics in these febrile times.

    I cannot see how the Tories can reverse their decline in London in the next two years, and the voting system favours Khan as he will benefit from most of the second preferences of Greens and Lib Dems.
